The STA
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy is undeniably the largest and oldest Traditional Taekwon-do organisation in Singapore.
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy has been promoting the original Taekwon-do martial art in Singapore since its founding in 1971, keeping to its original patterns and techniques as taught by its founder Grandmaster BS Huan.
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy is managed by a professional team of dedicated Masters, Examiners, Instructors and Administrators, whom are all Senior Black Belt Instructors themselves, each with at least 30 years of experience in Taekwon-do.
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy is an established and professional organisation with an Administration and Operations Directorate, complimented with several core functions for Techniques, Proficiency, Grading, Certification, Tournaments, Communications, Standard Administrative and Operational Procedures.
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy's administrative aspect is managed by the Administration Directorate, from New Student Registration, to Applications, Membership, Certifications, Compliance and Communications.

Our Training
Our Training Syllabus, Safety, Techniques and Proficiency Standards, are established by the STA Masters Forum, led by Grandmaster Henry Low.
Our Training Syllabus is created to ensure the best coaching method is used within a safe environment with Safety First being the priority, to achieve excellence in training and learning, and to give every Student and Black Belt an opportunity to achieve their very best and beyond.
All Certifications, Centralised and Regional Gradings are conducted by STA Masters and Examiners. STA Centralised Gradings are held every calendar quarter.
STA Instructors are trained and qualified by Senior Masters at STA HQ before they can start to coach Taekwon-do at the clubs and centres nationwide.
Qualified STA Instructors continue to participate in the STA Masters Instructors Workshop, held weekly at STA HQ, ensuring continuous improvements and knowledge updates on STA Training methods.

The Traditional Taekwon-do Tournament, known as T3, is a nationwide competition held annually by the Singapore Taekwon-do Academy.
The Tournament draws competitors from all belts and ages, to compete with fellow members to achieve the coveted gold medal, to showcase their very best techniques and skills, and in building confidence and character of sportsmanship in the individual.
STA Students and Black Belts also participate annually in international competitions and overseas training exchanges.
Overseas Taekwon-do students from as far as South Africa and Europe, to nearby Malaysia and Australia regularly request to come and join in our Advance Black Belt Training at STA HQ.
The international arm of the organisation is the Grandmaster BS Huan Taekwon-do International.
The Singapore Taekwon-do Academy continues with its core values and focus, promoting the very best of Traditional Taekwon-do in Singapore for almost 50 years and beyond.
